The 90s was the best decade!
How old was I?
I entered the 90’s on my 8th birthday and it gloriously ended the year I turned 17. These precious years shaped who I am and is still my go to music. I’m always fascinated when a song from that era comes on and it takes me back to a childhood memory at the roller skating ring, birthday party, vacation etc. The ironic thing is how some days I don’t remember what I had for breakfast but my mind has vivid long term memories of the 90s LOL This was the bright colored jackets, crop top, overalls, plaid shirts, bandana headbands bucket hats and of course track suits! I was definitely a baggy comfy clothing era
Life without cellphones?
I didn’t have a cell phone until I was freshman year in college. Before that I had a clear purple cell phone that I would use to send friends codes. My favorite beeper code was 07734=hello (read upside down). It wasn’t outside the norm to carry change to use the pay phones. I got my first private landline when I was in middle school. I thought I was all that too because I didn’t have to share the same line with the AOL dial up internet or be interrupted when my mom would pick up the line and let me know she needed to use it. Ohhhh the memories!
90s music era will always be my favorite…here’s my playlist no on asked for lol
If I didn’t have the cassette album then I’d record songs on the radio whenever I heard Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, TLC, Mary J Blige, SWV, Total, Biggie, Aaliyah, SWV, Mariah Carey, 112, Dru Hill, Jodeci, Bell Biv Devoe, Montell Jordan, Blackstreet, Usher, En Vogue, Toni Braxton, Destiny’s Child, Lauren Hill, Boyz II Men, Keith Sweat and of course my girl Brandy.
